UNKLE “Farewell”, new track from “The Road” album + “Cowboys or Indians” out soon on vinyl
Freshly ripped from Gilles Peterson show on Worldwide FM, here is “Farewell”, a lovely new tune from the forthcoming album by UNKLE, “The Road”
Update : Unfortunately my Youtube upload has been taken down following a copyright infringement notice, so I self-hosted the audio clip. Damn it, this has been played on the radio, and the archive of the show is publicly available on Mixcloud!
James Lavelle was Gilles Peterson’s guest on Worldwide FM tonight (actually the show is still running at the moment) to talk about David Axelrod (RIP) who James signed on Mo’ Wax for an amazing album.
It was also an opportunity for James to play a new UNKLE track from the forthcoming album The Road.
The lovely song is called Farewell and because I’m that kind of guy I ripped it and immediately uploaded it to Youtube.
It’s just above. My pleasure!
On another note, the Vinyl Factory announced today that the first single from the album, Cowboys or Indians released last year, will be given the vinyl treatment and that’s very good news. The record is limited to 500 copies but is at a cool price of £10. It’s available to pre-order right now, get your copy here : https://www.vfeditions.com/product/view/355
One last thing : James Lavelle officially announced just a few minutes ago on Worldwide FM that Mo’ Wax is definitely dead.
On Mo’ Wax we did a record last year. It was Elliott Power who I think is exceptionally talented. But I realised, I think, the days of Mo’ Wax are over. And that’s OK. I’m really happy that we did this record with him, I think he is an exceptional artist, but I think… you know… move on.
